News about the Adirondack Canoe Classic:
Attention 90 Miler Paddlers - Reports from the field of low water conditions!
The 3 1/2/ foot beaver dam on the Marion river will not be taken out. It is holding back the water to the take out.
These photos are of the beach at Raquette Falls were taken 8/14. We've never seen those rocks before. The river is down 10 feet!
The good new is the river is still navigable - though you will likely need to get out of the boat a few times for sand bars.
Take heart - there is rain in the forecast. We will keep you posted!
the Adirondack watershed alliance is thankful to Tops family markets for their continued Adirondack canoe classic!
